Origami four objects four techniques 7th November

This is a course inspired by the papers with nice patterns from Cambridge imprint. In this course, Mihiro Burman will show how to make 4 different kind of paper objects and you can use four different patterns from the paper collection.

One of the objects will be an "Orihon", a book with Japanese traditional accordion construction. The second one is origami pop up book, the third one is a card case with a special folding construction created by the well known American bookbinder, Hedi Kyle. And the last one will be a box by origami technique. All the techniques are useful and functional. The course is suitable for both of beginners and advanced. his course will be given principally in Swedish.

Fill the bowl with water and add a few drops of aromatic oil, light a votive candle under the bowl and when the water starts evaporating the lovely scent of the aromatic oil will spread in the room. Designer/maker Karin Eriksson throws on the potter's wheel in a dark stoneware clay, the bowl is glazed on the inside in a transparent glaze. 

Size (height x width): 9.5 x 11 cm (3.7x4.3 inches) Please note that variations may occur in size and surface.

Care: Over time and with use, the bowl will receive soma patina from the oil. Wash the bowl in cool water with a scotch-brite and washing up liquid.

Karin Eriksson, took her degree in ceramic design from Central St Martins University of Art and Design in London. ”I've worked with clay since the age of 15 and since the year 2000 I work with it professionally full time. In 2008 I started my shop manos, where I sell select design and crafts from the whole world. Ceramics is a large and important part of my life and something that I enjoy immensly and find developing to work with.”

Lisa and Esa Tanttu started the brand Jollygoodfellow around 10 years ago and it has grown organically since then. Lisa is swedish and Esa comes from Finland. They screen print their slowly growing collection of posters and childrens clothes by hand in Sweden.
