Collaborations
Alexandra Johansson
We asked artisan Alexandra Johansson to produce a series of unique glass vases for us. The desire was shapes and colors that would interact with manos and our ceramics. In October, we had the opportunity to participate when the vases were blown at Stockholm Glas in Gustavsberg. We hope that the pictures here have captured something of the craftsmanship and process in the glass cabin. Come to the store and see the result, we are so happy with "our" vases. The transparency and color of the glass communicate nicely with the ceramics, the materials clarify and enhance each other.
LA VECHIA SIGNORA
Around the corner from manos is restaurant La Vechia Signora, a fine neighborhood restaurant with the heart of Piedmont. We have had the pleasure of delivering bowls, plates and plates in specially produced glazes on which good and beautiful Italian food is now served.
Karin Carlander
Karin Carlander is a Danish textile designer and weaver who in a fine way brings a traditional craft and material into the present.
At manos we sell her much appreciated No. collection consisting of textiles in different designs, colors and sizes. The various parts of the collection have been given a neutral number as a designation. A way to show the possibility of using the textiles in different ways. They are all beautiful individually or together.
Service Winsnes
Here is a taste of a tableware we had the pleasure of designing and turning in the workshop here at manos. The process takes place in close collaboration with the customer of the tableware. We make crockery for restaurants, workplaces and for large or small households.
Marmaladerie
Sanna Fyring Liedgren is a tea sommelier, food creator and the woman behind the marmalade, whose unique marmalades we sell in the store. For everything wonderful that Sanna prepares, she uses the finest seasonal ingredients. Without additives. Sanna also holds our popular tea tastings, "Afternoon tea at café manos."
Incense plates
In collaboration with graphic designer Lynn Hatzius, we were commissioned to design and produce incense plates that would be sent to all corners of the world. The result was a rolled rectangular ceramic plate with a personal screen-printed pattern in a beautifully designed package.
The bumbling wall
The bumlings are thumbed and get completely unique shapes and patterns. When arranged together, it becomes a playful sculptural wall installation. We sell the bumlings piece by piece in the store, but sometimes we are lucky enough to put together a whole for a special place.
Indigo and Friends
Our fine flower fakirs come from Indigo & Friends whom we are very happy to collaborate with. We like that the fakirs provide the opportunity to play with the height and sheerness of the plants together with the different shapes, glaze, structure and size of the ceramics.
Photographers and illustrators
Ellinor Hall has taken several of our beautiful pictures. The illustration of manos was drawn by Flora Liedgren. We have borrowed pictures from the following brands (photographer is indicated in brackets): Karin Carlander (Maya Matsuura), Cena Atelier (Lennart Weibull), Kinto, Aard. Where nothing else is stated, the photos are taken by manos
Use our texts and images but refer to manos or the photographer where this is indicated.
